Meanwhile you can use the libs at http://staff.linuxgamepublishing.com/~eskild/libgtk/gtk-libs-32-bare.tar.bz2 (extract to a directory, then LD_LIBRARY_PATH= to that directory before running the uninstaller). The updater does not have this issue though, it is statically linked and should just work regardless. Make sure you have the latest version installed - 1.0.13.lgp1 (see lgp_update --version).
