I like the idea of the special edition, although X3-Special was not interesting for me, cause I already owned Farnhams Legend in german, which is the original language of this book.
Any chance for Terran Conflict on Linux? (”No” and “Cancel” buttons are greyed out)
Heh, we’ll see {:-) Me, I’d like to cos Im a huge X fan, but we have a whole load of other projects on the go right now so it won’t happen for a while
I will have to add my request for this as well. I can’t believe I didn’t look into this game sooner than I did, but now that I have it I can honestly say I am very pleased with this game. This very well may be the best Linux game I’ve played. I tell anyone who I think would be even remotely interested in Linux gaming that they need to pick this game up. I hope LGP continues to support this game and eventually releases Terran Conflict as well.

There is no demo for X3, nothing we can do about that.
There are even two of them – both a playable one and a rolling demo, see http://www.egosoft.com/download/x3/demos_en.php. So _that’s_ no excuse ;-P

OK, we’ll try and dig up a developer with some time to make the X3 demo, tho right now we’re fully committed with every developer working on other titles, so it may be a while…
Seriously? The rolling demo, at least, was released before X3 itself was!
I know because I ran the rolling demo (which I think also had a benchmark mode) back when I was still using Windows.
Incidentally, I emailed about an X3 demo just after you released the game, and was told “soon”. I see now that this was a Duke Nukem Forever “soon”. ;P
is there a benchmark option for X3?
I used the benchmark mode from X2 often, but I couldn’t find this option in X3
Nope, I’m afraid not. X3 never had it.
Right, we didnt bother with the rolling demo as we didnt think it was worth the time it would take to port it (it uses a slightly different code version and so would be very time consuming). The full demo tho, now we know about it, will be done.
